Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown for Newsweek

For my portrait session with Senator Sherrod Brown, I set my backdrop up in the basement of the Capitol in Senator Brown’s secret ‘hide away’ office. Turns out, every senator has a private secondary office that is more of a personal sanctuary, not open to the public and no staff running around. Senator Brown’s beamed his character with family photos and provocative political paraphernalia, all of which of course couldn’t be photographed, though not without attempt.
